Dayna Steringer was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has lived in Oregon most of her life. She started painting on birdhouses as a hobby and later discovered she had a passion for capturing the natural beauty around her on canvas.

“Creativity has always been a part of who I am, what makes me happy, what I am drawn to, what gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment. I like manipulating paint and color to bring something to life.”

Working mostly with acrylic, Dayna is inspired by trees and water and her work often features both. But her favorite is when she captures a scene that reminds people of a happy time in their lives or gives them a sense of connection with the place.

Dayna has shown her work at the 2017 Open Show of the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts and in 2014 in a group exhibition at the Multnomah Art Center. She has studied with Monte Dolack in Montana, and locally with Sophie Franz and Leslie Anderson.  Dayna is a member of Three Rivers Artist Guild (Oregon City) and Front Range Art Association (Montana).
